I was listening to Prager on the radio this morning.  He got a call that disturbed him greatly, as it should have.  It was a call from a seemingly rational person who, when asked if we were fighting evil people in Iraq, said "No" and he went on to explain that he didn't believe the men who kidnap and behead civilian contractors were evil, because given their circumstances, he would do the same thing.

Think about that for a moment.

What this guy was saying was that if any act, no matter how depraved, were an act he could conceivably do himself, it could not then be evil.

In other words, he equals good.

And they call George Bush arrogant.

But this actually got me thinking about the rhetoric of the left.  This belief that the definition of evil is only that which they themselves are incapable of, certainly lets anyone who buys it off the hook, doesn't it?

A conservative believes we are all capable of evil, while a lefty is his own definition of good.
