Margy married a guy from Denver.  She met him when she went out there for her freshman year at Colorado College in Colorado Springs.  Mom cried when Margy left for school, saying "She's going to meet some boy and get married and never come back!"

That's exactly what Margy did.

Except for the part about never coming back.  Not only does she come back for several weeks every year, she brings an entire flying circus with her.  It long ago got to the point where the kids who live here in town didn't consider it summer yet until Margy and the boys hit town.  Her four boys are perfectly spaced, age wise, so that every other family has kids the same age and naturally, Margy's boys are the most fun.  When you only see people during a time of non stop partying and staying up late and the parents are all too busy rockin' and rollin' and whatnot to pay too close attention to who's sleeping at who's house, who's watching what movie and who is that swimming naked in the fountain?  You naturally come to associate those people with "fun".

It's not just Margy of course, it's JP and Billy, too, who all manage to arrive for a week or two of insanity every year.  Well, because of my parent's wedding anniversary, everyone came back in early June this year, instead of later in the summer.  They all rolled into town about two weeks ago and they left on Sunday morning.  Margy took JP with her to Denver; her hubby, Jeff, had flown back a week early.  He's got this weird thing called a "job".   Every time they leave, they take summer with them.  Here it is, June 12, and summer's over.

Zack's last day of school is tomorrow.
