Okay, here's the game;

What tv sitcom character would you like to be?

Katie tagged me.  I told her she was Monica Geller.  She actually is Monica  Geller.  She's cute and funny and completely, utterly insane.  Cleaning "makes the voices stop".  That's Katie in a nutshell.

Apparently she would rather be Natalie from SportsNight and who can blame her?
SportsNight is second only to Arrested Developement as one of the best sitcoms EVER.  And like AR, SN was cancelled much too soon.

Who would I like to be?  Hmmmmm.  Ask me that thirty years ago and I'd have said "whoever Vinnie Barbarino's banging this week."

But not anymore.

So many characters to pick from!
There's Mary Richards; pretty, perky, professional, perfect Mary.
Jennifer from WKRP in Cinncinati.  Aside from looking good, what did she do?
Dana Whitaker from SportsNIght.  Smart, successful and a total spaz.
Lisa from NewsRadio.  Smart, funny and obssessive.
Beth from NewsRadio.  Those outfits.  Who doesn't want to dress like Beth?
Sophia from the Golden Girls?  I don't think so.

Oh, I've got it.

I want to be Julia Sugarbaker from Designing Women.
Julia was classy, successful, creative and funny.  She ran her own business.
True, every once in a while she went off on a half baked liberal rant, but in real life, Dixie Carter made the Bloodworth-Thomasin team let her sing every time they made her character say things she disagreed with, so I can live that.

However.

The character I really want to be is Dana Scully.
She had 1.) a liscense to kill.
2.) a liscense to practice medicine
              3.) Fox Mulder.
Who could possibly want more?

But the X-files isn't a sitcom.
