So I got up early, called my Mom and we went to the Home Depot where she bought her faucet but of course, they don't have that particular one.  It's okay, they did have some nice simple faucets and I picked one out.

My Mom agreed that too many of them were too "decorated".  She didn't get some of my complaints until she spotted a shower set that made her burst out laughing.  Let's just say that the temp control handle, the way it was shaped and the way it 'flopped' toward the floor was such that no straight man would ever be able to turn that shower on.  He might not understand why, but he'd feel very uncomfortable, especially when the thing was turned to 'hot'.

I loved it, of course.

Time to pick out a sink.  We want an undermount sink, maybe black, not too deep and maybe a one tubber.  I found one that's three out of four for just over $200.00.  It's not a one tubber, which is fine.  Margy loves her big sink because she can fit all her huge pots and pans in it, but her new kitchen has two sinks so she's got a little bit of everything.  She entertains a lot more than we do.  In fact, I think her new kitchen has more square footage than the first floor of my house.

Six baby horses, who cares, I love myself!

I also bought a door mat that works in the living room better than the one I bought at World Market.

Then in the afternoon, Jay came home and told me he'd bought one of the couches we liked when we went out shopping a few weeks ago.  It's not leather, but it works well in here and is very comfy.  They're delivering it next week.

Things are all coming together!  I'd best get that poster I wrecked reframed so I can put my room together like the host of a decorating show.

This is so much fun.  I should get to work so I can help pay for all this.

But I'd rather bake some cookies.
