BeerFest has "masterpiece" written all over it.

JackAss II looks even funnier than the original.

I saw Clerks II today.

I was sceptical; Clerks is one of my favorite comedies.  It's certainly one of the vilest movies I've ever seen but it's also hilarious.  And when Silent Bob finally speaks, it's always with profound wisdom.

"Most beautiful women won't bring you lasanga for lunch.  They'll just cheat on you and break your heart." I'm  paraphrasing, but that should be carved in stone over the entrance to every high school in the modern world.

I don't own it because I didn't want any of my kids to ever see it.  Well, now three of them are grown (or big, at least) and they've all seen it.

"Let's go see Clerks II," Zack suggested this afternoon.  "You know you want to."
That boy may be the antichrist.

"I don't want to see it with YOU."

"Well DUH. We're not  gonna sit together!  You can't watch a Kevin Smith movie with your MOM."

I remembered Mary Jeanne and Katie's discomfort (horror), watching the Forty Year Old Virgin with our Mom.  I had no problem with it and Mom laughed her butt off.  But I would never watch Clerks with her.

On the other hand, I had watched Team America in the same room with Zack.  And a movie theater is much bigger than our tv room.

The movie was pretty funny.  It wasn't as funny as the original but it also wasn't quite as vile.  Kinky Kelly couldn't touch Caitlyns' necro-fiasco.  What could?

On the other hand, Jay's buffalo bill stance made me scream and the Lord of the Rings vs. Starwars argument were worth the price of admission.

I love Starwars.

I own all six and  the original 1977 movie poster that hung at the Edina theater now hangs in my tv room.

I have a needlepoint purse I designed and worked myself that features the Starwars art.

Starwars is a pale, shadowy copy of the Lord of the Rings.

This is not a slam on Starwars.  But just like the Minnehaha creek isn't much when you compare it to the Mighty Mississippi, Starwars ain't much compared to LOR.

And I am the Official Queen of the Geeks.
