Zack and I watched Resident Evil last night.  It wasn't scary.  It wasn't tense.  It was just another mindless shoot em up and watch a tough chick fight movie.

Apparently this was a sequel.  Zack assures me that I saw the first one but even after watching this, I had no recollection of the first.

Serenity did it much, much better.
