I predict that come November, the Republicans will hold the house and the senate.

This is, of course, wishful thinking on my part, but consider; although the R's have infuriated the base (myself included) with their unacceptable handling of illegal immigration, their stupid security policies regarding air travel (How does it make us safer to continue to pretend we don't know who the terrorists are?) their runaway domestic spending and their unbelievably incompetent handling of all war related P.R., the only option is the Democrats.

And the Dem's are a bunch of howling lunatics.

When they made Howard Dean head of the DMC, they not only went off the deep end, they did a triple lindy into the deep end of an empty pool.  Imagine the Republicans making David Duke head of the RNC.  It's that bad.

This snide, pompous, incoherent, and quite frankly, treacherous bunch could win back control of the house and senate?

I don't think so.

I have to believe the American people are smarter than that.

I realize of course that the wild card is conservatives staying home to punish the Republicans but I'm betting that concerns over the continued threat from terrorism will have conservatives dragging themselves to the polls and like me, holding their noses and voting for the incompetent over the insane.
