Undeclared

Just finished watching the entire series of Undeclared.
Why is it that the best of all tv shows get cancelled immediately?
Do tv execs say "Whoops, we let a smart, well written, well acted, FUNNY show get onto the schedule?? HEADS WILL ROLL!!" And then they come up with Two and a Half Jokes. I mean Men.
Undeclared was created, written, produced and directed by Jud Apatow, the genius who brought us one season of Freaks and Geeks, another comic masterpeice that was killed instead of renewed.
Undeclared is simply the story of college Freshmen who live on the same floor of the dorm. The main character is Steven, who clearly spent most of high school trying not to get stuffed into his own locker. He shares a suite with Marshall, the wanna be musician; Ron, the funny fat guy; and Lloyd, the hot british thespian. Across the hall are Lizzy, the pretty insecure girl with a stalker boyfriend, Eric; and Rachel, the ridiculously hot girl who is surprisingly sweet. Periferal characters are Perry, the dj and (In his own mind, at least) coolest guy in the school; Hillary, the insane head RA (played by Amy Pohler, need I say more?); Hal, Steven's freshly divorced dad and Tina, a really funny chunky gal who is smitten with Lloyd, who moves into Rachel and Lizzy's suite to add some color to the cast.
And the funniest character in the show, BY FAR, Lizzy's creepy, clingy, strange, loser boyfriend, Eric.
We got this through Netflix, but if I ever see it for sale anywhere, I'll buy it. Like Firefly, SportsNight, and Arrested Development, it's worth watching over, and over. All seventeen episodes.
