I love casting the movies of my favorite books.  My favs never get made into movies and it's probably just as well, because with very few exceptions, I've hated every movie I've ever seen that was based on a book I loved. (The exceptions are The Lord of the Rings and Lonesome Dove.  I didn't hate the Harry Potter movies but they are  weak and dull compared to the books)

But I still like to cast them for fun.

Last night I rewatched Almost Famous.  I'd forgotten how hot Billy Crudup was.  I decided he'd make a great Ranger, if they made J. Evanovich's Stephanie Plum novels into movies.  He'd make a good Morelli, too, as Joe ain't chopped liver.  But Ranger has to be a little hotter than Morelli for it to make sense.

If you don't know what I'm talking about, go read the books.  You'll laugh yourself sick.
