My daughter Katie took the LSAT, the entry test one must take to get into law school, a few weeks ago.  As far as I know, she has no burning desire to study law, but she took it into her head in June that she could do well on the entry test, so she started studying.

I got a notice from the Law School Admission Council this week.  Out of a possible 180 points, Katie scored 175.  This puts my daughter in the %99.6 percentile.

I've always loved bragging about my kids but this time I have documentary evidence!

Of course, this is the same kid who, in second grade, when Sister Peggy asked each of the new students what their favorite books were, answered "A Tale of Two Cities."

"A Tale of Two Cities?" Sister Peggy wasn't sure she'd heard right.

"Well, either that or A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court."  Katie answered.  "I really like Mark Twain."

I'm just grateful she didn't say "Strip Tease, by Carl Hiassen."
