I've been listening to Alan Jackson's new CD, Like Red on a Rose.  It's fabulous.  I like Jackson's music, but occassionally he does some pretty silly stuff.  I love his voice and when he's serious, as in Where were You When the World Stopped Turning, he's about as good as it gets.

This cd is very low key, minimalist and good enough to make me cry.  I was trying to figure out how to describe it tonight and it finally came to me:  It's a makeout cd for couples who've been married for twenty years.

I love it.
