Last week I watched Just Friends, and laughed all the way through it.  The next day I was informed by my son and my sister that No, I had Not Laughed all the way through it because that movie SUCKED.  But my older son, Tyler must have agreed with me, because it was his movie I watched and MJ liked it, too.

So there.

Last night I watched the third XMan movie.  Finally.  I loved the first two, perhaps only because Hugh Jackman even makes Wolverine's hair look good.  This one was okay.  NOt as bad as I'd been lead to believe but not as good as the first two.

I think the problem with it is that the whole plot revolves around Phoenix, played by Famke Jannsennn who couldn't act her way off an elevator.  After two X-Men movies, everyone involved knew she didn't have the chops to play Phoenix but it was too late; third movie, after all.  So they pared the part of Phoenix down to about three lines and lots of standing around in heavy makeup and special effects.

Throughout the movie we were told how powerful Phoenix is and how she never could control it etc. and Gandalf called her a goddess, and all she did the entire time was stand there looking like she was still in a coma.

Good, Phoenix; power of the universe and all, it's too bad you don't have an opinion of your own, or even a personality.

Wolverine loves you though, so I guess we'll just milk that.

Worked for me.

I also finished watching the first season of Nip Tuck last night.  I'm quite sure that watching that show has not only left me stupider, it's actually made me a worse person than I was before.

Now I'll have to watch SportsNight and the XFiles to cleanse my brain of that crud.

Julian McMahon, however....mmmmm good.
