Well the great sleep over is almost history.

The kids finally settled down in the basement around 12:30.  The lights were out but I could hear the kids giggling and pushing each other around.  Finny got home around 12:15 and I gave him a choice; the basement with the girls or any couch in the house.  He chose the basement floor with the rest of the kids.

Poor Jay has a cough and didn't sleep well at all.  In fact, most of the night he sounded like he had tried to swallow a chicken, feathers and all and was busy trying to cough it up.
He gave up early and got up to make coffee around 7:30.

Molly joined him.  I could hear their conversation but I didn't get up till after 8. 

Eventually all the others straggled upstairs, much earlier than I would've hoped.

There was some crying, some screaming, some tv watching and some hide and seek.  At one point Molly bit Finbar, who had tried to push her down the stairs.  I couldn't really blame either of them, but for forms sake I scolded them both.  We all went down to the park later and the kids stayed longer than I did, I was freezing.  They all liked being out there and they've gotten along much better for the fresh air.  Now they're all upstairs cleaning the kitchen.

Next time I'll have them do the bathrooms.

This could really work out well for me.
