I want to take this opportunity to congratulate my friend Andrea, also known as Mrs. Curry, who will be inducted into the Women's Basketball Hall of Fame in 2007.

Andrea played for the Texas Longhorns from '83-'87, where she not only earned her NCAA championship ring, but did it on the first team to ever finish a season undefeated, going 36-0.  Her name is all over the Longhorn's record book.  She ranks 3rd in career rebounding with 1,115; 2nd in career steals with 340; 9th in career assists with 340 (2.7 per game avg); and 11th in career scoring with 1,596.  During her playing career she also made four All American teams, won a silver medal at the World University games, a gold at the Pan American games and an Olympic gold medal, which is the only piece of jewelry I've ever seen which I actually lusted after.

Andrea may not have quite as many medals as Audi Murphy or Matt Urban but she had a lot more fun winning them.

Congratulations, Andrea!!
