It's not 1997 anymore and George Clooney is not the sexiest man alive. 

Someone should tell people magazine.  What next; Garth Brooks is entertainer of the year?

The thought that popped into my head when I saw the cover was "Meat Face".  Not exactly a pick up line, eh?
George was pretty cute a few...a decade ago, but now he's gray, fat and one trip through the ugly machine to being Taylor Hicks.  Give George ten more years and you won't be able to tell him from Jay Leno.

To highlight the travesty, there's an insert of Patrick Dempsey on the cover, clearly demonstrating that Clooney isn't even the sexiest man on the cover of that particular issue, much less alive.

Personally, I wouldn't give either of them the time of day if Hugh Jackman were in the room.

Okay, I'd give McDreamy the time of day, but I wouldn't even see Grampa George.
