When is 0 worth 36?

Jay had a game today. It was another unseasonably (is that even a word?) warm day but the gym was pretty full. One section was packed with Pivec friends, relatives, neighbors and inlaws.
The first half was very close. I kept thinking we were going to pull away, we led by as much as five but the other team kept clawing back to within one. At half time we were only up by three. Jay did more pacing and yelling than we've seen him do in years. Our six year old neighbor, who was at his first game at MCTC, was alarmed. He'd never seen Jay so agitated. In the back yard, Jay is pretty laid back... fun, even.
The TFKM * came out after halftime and about a minute and a half later were up by 12. Like Kenyans at the 18th mile of a marathon, TKFM* just floated away from the competition. We won by around 40 points.
We have the littlest point gaurd we've ever had. His name is Xiro (pronounced "Zero") and I worry about him getting hurt. It's hard when a 5'7" 140lb kid to gets knocked around by goons a foot taller and a hundred pounds heavier. Fortunately, you gotta catch someone to knock him down. So far, no one has caught Xiro and they're all trying. Tonight, he scored 36 points.
Last week in a game, he scored 30 points, all in the second half. In another game, he took an elbow to the eye, got seven stitches and only scored 27 points. I swear, if we blind folded him, he'd still score 15 points a game.
