In the interest of truth, justice and the American Way, I thought I should clarify something I posted the other day.

My Mom never intentionally stabbed the parish Priest.

She always sat in the same place on the couch and she likes to do needlework while watching tv.  On the night in question, she was working on a quilt.  When the doorbell rang, she poked her needle into the arm of the couch so that it wouldn't fall on the floor and get lost, or worse; found.

When she invited Fr. O'Gara to sit, she didn't make him sit in her spot and she certainly didn't tell him to slap his hand down on the arm of the couch, right onto her four inch quilting needle.

You could say that Fr. O'Gara stabbed himself.

There, Mom.  Can I come over for Christmas dinner now?
