I followed the link at the top of www.yuckysaladwithbones.com today and found myself at NBSsports.com.  The headline read "Bill Hubbell's worst nightmare".

For anyone reading this who isn't related to me, (however unlikely and probably accidentally that may be), Mr. Dark and Twisty is my younger brother.  Several things struck me immediately upon seeing that headline.  The first was that Bill Hubbell's greatest dream growing up was to have seen his name in a headline at NBC sports.  Except it wasn't his great dream; he took it for granted.

It's odd to think that a guy who's name appears in headlines and who's emmy sits in my parent's tv room, will never achieve many of his childhood dreams.  Billy never wanted an emmy.  He wanted  a Stanley Cup, a Superbowl ring, and several dozen Olympic gold medals.

The next thing that struck me upon reading the article, was that if Bill had met Chuck Klosterman while they were growing up, Billy would've kicked Klosterman's ass clear across the parking lot for being such a skinny little thinks-he-knows-anything-about-music Loser.  Fortunately that never happened or the world would be devoid of the  literary gem  "Sex, Drugs and Cocoa Puffs".

Bill may never front a rock group but I'm confidant he will write a bestseller that outshines both Klosterman's and Vince Flynn's work, because he's that good.

But if he calls it "Mr. Dark and Twisty", everyone will think it's about Joe.
