Naughty?

Lotta new cds for Christmas.
I got The Celtic Woman for Jay, gave him twenty four hours to get it on his ipod and now it's mine. It's fun to listen to sopranos who don't sound like their giving birth to hit the high notes. Not a screech on the entire cd. Zack demanded to know why I didnt' just buy Enya cds, since several of the songs are covers and Zack loves Enya.
Well maybe I will, smartypants!
I also got Come Fly with Me, the new Michael Buble cd/dvd for Jay. We've watched most of the dvd on our big screen with the new Bose sound system. Yowza. If I were twenty years younger I'd follow Buble around the world for a couple of years. As it is, I want to adopt him.
I got Daughtry, the cd America demanded, for Zack. He put it on his ipod then announced that it was pretty lame and generic. Meanwhile, I took the cd, which in my dislexic head I thought was called Naughty. Daughtry/Naughty. I'm not dislexic but I learned to speed read decades ago and the result is like bouts of dislexia. I was relieved to see that it was Daughtry, cuz Naughty was a pretty dam stupid title. Anyway, I like listening to rock when I'm on the highway and so Zack's basketball tourny in Hastings was the perfect time to crank it up and see if it rocked. I'm singing along to the third or fourth cut and I think to myself; "I like this!" that thought was immediately followed by "Oh, jeez, that can't be good."
I'm not exactly the rock n roll demographic anymore, you know? (In the studio, the producer is shouting "no! no! the mid-forty white moms will never go for that!") So it probably sucks, but I like four of the cuts alot. Maybe I love Nickelback, is all.
I also got Taylor Hicks cd, which thankfully is not called HICKS! Too bad, actually. Hix nix stix pix. Anyone know what movie that's from?
Anyway, I really like Taylor's cd. Alot. My daughter wants to load it onto her ipod before she goes back to school.
Got a call from Tyler today. He's been on the road with the Hilltoppers for eight days. HE's the only asst. who went along so his coach was on his back twenty four hours a day. They didn't bring a trainor either, so Ty had to do all that duty as well. We were able to listen to one of the games via the internet and Ty did the halftime report. Pretty cool!
He was happy to be home finally and he called to say that the package with his Christmas presents was there and thanks. He also asked for some cds; Daughtry, Buffett's Take the Weather with You and oh! my son has joined the church of Buble.
"One of the players had his stuff on his ipod and I listened to it. I had no idea the guy was so good." He told me.
I'm so proud.
