PT vs. pts

Went to Shakopee the other night to watch my son's team (0-12) take on a team that is ranked in the top three in the state.
The outcome was pretty much what I expected. As usual, Zack got about five minutes PT and score five points. That makes his points per minute ratio higher than anyone else on the team, yet he still never gets in. When he does get in, his job is to throw up as many shots from outside the three point line as possible. He's averaging about 30%.
I don't pretend to know anything at all about the game but if my team hadn't won a game yet and I had a player who could average one for three from the three point line and was getting as many points as minutes played, I really think I would put this kid in the game for as long as possible.
I'm just sayin'.
