Two things caught my eye in the news today;

I thought Walter Mondale was the last of a breed; a classy Democrat.  Now it seems he has joined the ranks of former Democratic office holders who just can't stop themselves from unzipping and pissing all over the tradition of not commenting on the current occupants of the offices they once held.  They don't just comment either; they bad mouth to the point of slander.  Mondale has now joined the ranks of disenguous Dems claiming that this administration cherry picked and manufactured intelligence, despite the intelligence community denying it.
Despite the fact that the intelligence in question was pretty much accepted knowledge everywhere in the world and was accepted by the previous administration as fact.  Despite, in fact, the intelligence being true.

So, way to disappoint a former admirer, Fritz.

As though ANYONE connected to that Anti-Semite, former Presidential disgrace, Jimmuh Cahtuh, should throw stones.

Then I saw that Bush may pardon the two (Hispanic, if that sort of thing impresses you) border guards who are serving time in the federal pen for shooting (but not killing) some drug runners on the Mexican border. Good! I think they should be pardoned, given medals and be put in charge of training all border guards.  Drug running and illegal immigration would dry up pretty darn quick if we started shooting at them as a matter of routine.

Someday, this country might get serious about  terrorism, drugs  and illegal immigration  (which, as far as I'm concerned is only a problem because of the terrorist problem) but crap like this tells me that day has not yet come.

This is why the Republicans were thrown out of power everywhere two months back: Conservatives expect results from their representatives, not just more bureaucracy.
