Okay, I haven't been paying much attention so I just read that Molly Ivins died. My reaction:
"Yay! no more assinine columns from her! oh, wait, what? She died? Ohh...oh, that's too bad."
I am such a rotten person.
At least I'm not alone. I also just found out about the controverial blogmaster hired by John Edwards Presidential campaign. If you were running a political campaign and you wanted to hire an actress as your spokesmodel, would you hire some chick just because you heard she made lots of films? What if after you announced the hire, you found out she made her fortune as the romantic interest of Jimbo the Donkey? Would you consider the hire to be a) a mistake, b) really stupid or c) politically brain dead?
Someone on the Edwards campaign should be feeling like that right about now.
It's started, just like I knew it would. My Dad sent me a youtube today.
This one was Charlize Theron on some news show trying to be all smart but coming off like an idiot when she can't tell the difference between getting fired from your job by pissing off your boss and getting thrown in jail by a dictatorial government. Is it just me, or do stupid people actually become uglier the longer you're around them? And funny, interesting people get better looking.
Some people are lucky enough to be funny, interesting and good looking.
Katie spent Christmas break sending out law school applications. Her uncle, a retired Judge, warned her that despite her sky high LSAT score, without a straight A transcript, she shouldn't expect too much. I guess NYU figured a rogue B is acceptable when you cram four years into three and a half. No word yet from the top four law schools in the country.
