I finally saw this one last week.  It was really good, I'd recommend it to anyone.  Helen Mirren is wonderful, she always is.  I don't watch a lot of her movies on purpose, she just doesn't make movies I want to see all that much, but whenever I catch one of her performances on tv, I'm always impressed.

The only part of Calendar Girls, which I didn't know was based on a true story, was the fight between Helen Mirren's and Julie Walters characters.  It seemed contrived to me.  That probably means it really happened.  Anyway, I'm glad I saw it, it made me laugh and it made me cry.  It even made me want to appear naked in a calendar, canning peaches or doing needlepoint.  I would ask to be Miss April.
