Snow of Death

Run for your lives, it's snowing!!
As a life long Minnesotan who only took a few years away, in Nodak and Montana, I'm disgusted at the state wide hysteria being fanned and encouraged by everyone in the media. It's snowing. In March. In Minnesota.
Anyone who panics under these circumstances should go live elsewhere, or crawl into the nearest snowbank and die.
We Are Minnesotans!! We Do Not Whither at the Sight of Snow!
Not even lots and lots of snow. We put on our boots and go run around in it. We build forts in the back yard. We put on boots and go walk around the lake, and marvel at how spectacularly gorgeous the world can be under so many different conditions. Lake Harriet on a clear summer day, with sailboats flying about is a picture of Heaven. Lake Harriet in white out conditions is a picture of a different room in Heaven.
On the other hand, my driveway is a path straight to the seventh circle of hell. Mainly because of all the swearing.
MCTC has cancelled everything, so Jay is on his way home and I called Josie's school so he's going to pick her up. Yay! Early Weekend! Maybe we can all bundle up and go walk around the lake.
But first I'd better go shovel the driveway.
Again.
