Earlier this week, my sister sent out an email to everyone in the family for their top five childhood books.  The answers she got are at her blog, www.yuckysaladwithbones.com.  My entry was severly edited due to redundancy.  My favorites are also Margy's, Woody's and Katie's.

The only reason I bring it up is that I walked into the kitchen just now to see Josie at the table with The House of Pooh Corner in front of her.  I had read her that book when she was very little.  She loved Milne's poetry best and when she was really young her favorite books were When We Were Very Young and Now We Are Six.  I bought her a boxed set of the Pooh books when she learned to read.

Now she's in sixth grade, the boxed set has been missing for years and she barely remembers Winnie the Pooh.

So today she picked up THAPC and was reading it while she ate her lunch.

She has been laughing hard and loud for twenty minutes.

And she's still on the first chapter.
