I saw this at Mitch's place last week but didn't have time to write my list.  Today I'm slacking cuz it's sunny out.
Is there anything funner than talking movies?

NO!

"Begin"  (ten pts for anyone who can tell me what movie that's a quote from)

1.  what movie have you seen more than ten times?

If I like a movie, I've probably seen it more than ten times.  Here a few: Star Wars, Singin' in the Rain, Sound of Music, Tequila Sunrise, Princess Bride...

2. what movie have you seen multiple times in a theater?

Star Wars (all six), Sound of Music, Lord of the Rings (all installments) The Sting, Jaws, Life is Beautiful, Tombstone, Braveheart, Raiders of the Lost Ark,  just off the top of my head.

3. what actor will make you more likely to go see a movie?

Johnny Depp, Ewan MacGregor, Gene Hackman, Hugh Jackman, Denzel Washington, Kenneth Branagh, Christopher Guest, Will Smith, Mel Gibson, Elijah Wood, and although they aren't actors, anything by Kevin Smith or Jud Apatow.  Oh, and The Rock!  Looove the Rock.

4. What actor will make you less likely to see a movie?

Kevin Costner and Keanu Reeves.  And George Clooney who seems to have decided that being good looking is so 1990's.

5. Name a movie you can and do quote from.

"I'm comin' and hells comin' with me!"
"inconceivable!"
"Of course it hurts.  The trick is not to mind that it hurts."
"Anybody want a peanut?"
"But it doesn't mean anything!"
"We are men of action.  Lies do not become us."
"Here we are, Sunset and Camden!"
"Stop saying that!"
"You. Are. A. Toy!"
"As you wish."
"They're all gonna die."
"It's the fall that'll kill ya!"
"Jesus, Grampa!  Why'd ya read me this thing?"
"Oh my God!"(then knock everything off the counter).

In short, I can and do quote from practically every movie I've seen, with the ratio being Princess Bride:everything else = 2:1.  It's not so much that I don't have an original thought in my head as it's just that so many movies have already come up with the perfect thing to say.

6. name a musical you know all the lyrics to.

It's easier to name one I don't know all the lyrics to: Newsies.  Only because Katie took the dvd to school with her.

7.  Name a musical you can and do sing along with.

I even sing along with Newsies.  I just don't know the words.  Yet.

8.  Name a movie you'd recommend to everyone.

Everyone on earth, regardless of age, culture etc, should see Singin' in the Rain.  Everyone.

9.  Name a movie you own.

I keep a list on line of movies I own so that when I lend someone something I can keep track of it.  The list is single spaced and so far it's seven pages long.  It begins with Amistad and ends with You've got Mail.

10.  Name an actor who's career began in a different medium who has surprised you with their talent?

Will Smith.

11. Have you ever been to a drive in?

I remember sneaking in to the France Ave drive in in the trunk of someones car.  I don't remember what we saw.

12. Have you ever made out at the movies?

When I watch movies, I watch movies and when I make out, I make out.
That's a paraphrasing of one of my favorite movie quotes.  Ten pts to anyone who can guess the movie.

13. Name a movie you've always meant to see but haven't gotten around to it.

Dead Men don't Wear Plaid.  I've been busy!

14. Name a movie that made you cry in the theater.

Saving Private Ryan, Life is Beautiful, Pan's Labyrinth, DreamGirls.

15. Popcorn?

No.

16. How often do you go to a theater to see a movie?

Not often.  four or five times a year.  I've got a 46" flatscreen at home and a netflix account; with movie tickets six bucks a pop for a matinĂ©e, why bother?

17. What's the last movie you saw in a theater?

Pan's Labyrinth.  Loved it!

18. What's your favorite genre?

I don't have a favorite.  Last night I watched Return to Me (romantic comedy) and Inside Man (cop thriller) back to back and I loved them both.

19. Name the first movie you saw in a theater.

The Sword in the Stone.  It was J.P.s birthday, I think he was five.

20. Name a movie you wish you hadn't seen.

The Cell.  Not just because J-Lo shouldn't be allowed to act.

21. What's the weirdest movie you've ever enjoyed?

Jacob's ladder.  Freaky.

22. What's the scariest movie you've ever seen?

The Exorcist.  And United 93.  Because they're real.

23. What's the funniest movie you've ever seen.

Noises off!  I laughed so hard  I actually had to roll around on the floor.
