I just finished Thomas Sowell's book The Quest for Cosmic Justice, which was published in 1999.  I've been a fan of Professor Sowell's for years.  I think taking an econ class from him would be pure joy.  He's one of those extremely rare intellectuals: a man who knows his stuff and knows how to make it accessible to those of us who don't.  He's a talented writer, a brilliant economist and he has a Shakespearean understanding of human nature.

This book was so bright I had to read it with my sunglasses on.

I read that one back in November and agree that it was very good. He's one of those writers who is consistently right on the money. At the same time he never goes overboard. Just the facts ma'am!
