No, I have not abandoned my blog for the corporate world, unlike some people I could name.  I've been in Florida.

A few weeks ago, Jay called me from work to let me know that a friend's house on Sanibel Is. was available again, but only for a brief time so did I want to go or not?  We literally had one afternoon to make our plans.  Should we go, even though we already had plans for a trip south?  What should we do with the kids?

Last year, we took Josie with us and she had a blast.  No reason not to take her this time.  What about Zack?  We spoke to his teachers and he's actually doing brilliantly in all of his classes.  Should we mess with that?  He couldn't stay here alone, he's still  a minor. After a minute's thought I told Jay the only way we could make sure Zack kept up with his school work was to bring him and his work with us, so that's what we did.

We had a blast.  I plan to write more about it, but we just got back in town and I have more pressing things to attend to, like reading the 46 non spam emails in my in box.  And listening to the 26 messages on my voice mail.  I thought there would be more phone stuff but all but six were telemarketers.

One message made me leap through my porch window.  My favorite sister in law called to say she'd bought us both tickets to see Buble in July "call me back right away!"

That was a week ago.  I've tried her three times and she's not answering.  If I get a hold of her and she has sold my ticket because of my perceived disinterest I'll cry for a month.

Back from vacation, the real world beckons; I have to make dinner and watch two discs of The Shield's season 5.
