I knew eventually I'd get around to watching Pursuit of Happyness because I love Will Smith, although I still havent' seen him in Ali...

I'd heard that this one (PofH,) was a tough watch, but Shawshank Redemptionish in it's harshness to payoff ratio.  Yes, lot's of suffering has to be gotten through before success, happiness and eventual millions.  I really liked it. Chris Gardener is nothing less than a twentieth century hero. How many people, of any color or background, could have done what he did?  Would have even tried?  The man beat out a room full of overeducated priviledged white boys to win his dream job, while caring single handedly for his son and oh, yeah they were homeless.  Very impressive.  I have no idea what Mr. Gardener's politics are (and I don't really care) but there's one scene in particular that made me think; "and that's how a conservative was born in San Fransisco."  Also, it was nice seeing a movie where the kindest people were the rich white guys.

But enough about overcoming personal  adversity and achieving gigantic happiness and wealth, blah, blah, blah...

What I really want to write about is something else I saw on the disc.  There was a preview for The Holiday, which I haven't seen, and stars Cameron Diaz and Kate Winslet.  These two lovely gals wind up with Jude Law and Jack Black.

Watching the sixty seconds worth of trailer, I couldn't help thinking that given the choice of Jude Law or Jack Black, I'd take Jack seven days a week.  Why?  Well, because I think he'd make me laugh and I'm not a lesbian, which you have to be to go for Jude Law.

He's Marilyn Monroe in drag!

This got me thinking about hot fat guys.  In addition to Jack Black (who isn't hot, but he's funny)there's Kevin Smith and Kevin James.  Both are guys who've made me laugh myself sick but I also think they're really cute.  I wouldn't take John Belushi or Chris Farley, who besides being dead, weren't hot even when they were funny.  Then of course, there's John Travolta and Michael Buble, who could each keep gaining weight forever and I would continue to loooove them.

I'd take Jack or the Kevins, John or Michael over Jude, George, Brad, Matt, Ben or...I dont' know.  Who else is there?

But not Johnny, Ewan or the two Hughs.  I love those guys, and they don't even have to be funny.

But I'm pretty sure they are.
