I love October. 

It's my favorite month.  First of all because it's the most gorgeous month of the year.  Up here in the frozen north, September is still summer; wonderful, warm and green.  Summer fights for September. 

Then October arrives and says "Summer?  Why, no.  Check   this out!" 

Then the world turns into Lothlorien.

October is the month of infinite possibilities. 

We've had thunderstorms the last few nights.  It's like the weather was trying not to disturb anyone, just getting it's business done in the middle of the night, when no one else was using it.  Today started out sunny and hot.  Really hot, mid eighties.  By mid day, clouds had rolled in, then it rained, then it cleared up and was a hot and gorgeous evening.  It felt like July. 

We could have twelve inches of snow by next week.


Zack is currently doing a reenactment of Temple of Doom in the kitchen to amuse Katie while she does her homework. 

I fulfilled my cultural learnin's this week by watching a movie called "Beowulf and Grendel".  It was made in 05 and went straight to video.  It was okay.  It was far, far better than  Pathfinder or The Fountain. It starred Gerard Butler. 

Who doesn't want to see a movie starring Gerard Butler, Clive Owen and Julian McMahon as brothers?  And do we even care what it's about?

No, we do not!

Why can't someone in a position to do something about it ever come up with these great ideas? 

It's raining again and there's a beautiful breeze...time to got watch some tv.

I just did spell check and it wanted me to turn "okay" into "orgy".

I just watched a movie.  It was orgy. 

That would be a hell of a movie review.
