Darwinism at it's Best!

I'm so happy to hear in the news and see on line that followers of the Religion of Environmentalism are taking their belief to it's logical conclusion and deciding not to reproduce.

Obviously I'm not talking about everyone who follows the common sense version of being environmentally friendly; recycle, don't litter, don't pollute, don't' waste, but come on!  When your love of the environment extends to the decision to terminate your line, that's religious fervor at it's worst.

Don't get me wrong, I think there are plenty of people throughout history who should never have borne young.  There are a whole lot of really good reasons not to have kids, I just never thought that being ultra liberal would be one.  Although now that I think of it, it does seem like as good a reason as any...
I'm sincerely happy that these folks are self aware enough to embrace their beliefs.  Let's face it, the world doesn't need any more of their DNA.

Now my DNA, that's another matter.  Smart, funny, good looking, talented people should have a lot of kids! (How's that for humble confidence?) One of the reasons Jay and I got married is because we knew we'd have great kids.
The world needs great kids a lot more than it needs fewer environmentalist wackos, so I really think that by giving the world our offspring, Jay and I have contributed even more to the future of the planet than the altruists who have so thoughtfully taken themselves out of the gene pool.

A few years ago, a new colleague of Jay's came into his office to introduce himself.  Jay had recently put up a four part frame with recent pictures of each of the kids.  This colleague took it upon himself to inform Jay, whom he had just met, that it was irresponsible and set a bad example for his students to have had so many children.

Jay asked him which of the kids he should kill when he got home that night.

No, actually it wasn't any of the kids Jay offered to terminate.  He did invite the idiot to leave his office immediately and further advised him to hide if he ever saw Jay coming.  That fella left the school after a very short tenure.

I believe that that guy (who's name I never knew) was absolutely correct in his decision not to reproduce.  The world most certainly does NOT  need any more fools ready to preach their self righteous, screwy morals to people they don't even know, and although there's a chance his kids wouldn't turn out just like him, it's nice to know that the world doesn't have to run that risk.

It's a win-win situation!

Merry Christmas, kids! You really are going to inherit the Earth!
