Happy Birthday, with much love, from Pooh

We ignore Valentines' day around here. It's a bogus holiday, like Mother's and Father's day. In our house, every day is mom and dad's day and for me and Jay, every day is a bring-me-flowers day. However, mid February does boast a very important holiday.
Yesterday was my Mom's birthday.
I tried calling her all day but she never picked up the phone. She finally returned my call around dinner time and told me that she and Dad had spent the afternoon making out at the movies.
Oh, she didn't admit they were making out, but I know those two.
They have nine kids. Clearly, this couple can not be trusted in the dark.
"Really." I asked, "What did you see?"
Long pause.
"Michael... Clayton's... War?" she answered.
Yep.
Making out.
Again.
After the movie, she and Dad went to Costco and bought themselves lobster tails. They had invited no one over to celebrate because they couldn't feed everyone lobster. After all these years, my Mom finally got what she wanted for her birthday; for her kids to leave her alone and keep their greedy paws off her lobster.
It's no wonder she's my idol.
Happy birthday Mom!
