The "Stupid" Vote

Oh.

My.

God.

I don't have Barack Obama's golden tongue, so my rhetoric doesn't soar as high, but I do have a political babel fish in my ear which allows me to interpret the remarks he made in San Fransisco this week.  They went something like this;

"Middle Americans, in their bitterness, cling to guns, religion, bigotry and nationalism."

Really, Bar?  Really??

He's been spinning like a dervish since the moment the words escaped his lips to convince all of us neanderthals out here that he really wasn't dissing us.  It's not his fault if we are so dumb as to believe what he says.

This could go down in history with Gerry Ford's claim that Poland was free, with Jimmy Carter consulting his adolescent daughter about "nucular proliferation", with Gary Hart's challenge to the press to try and find dirt on him, with Michael Dukakis's ride in a tank and George H.W. Bush's glance at his wrist watch during the debate.

At least, it should.

If Obama were a Republican this would  not only be the end of his campaign, it would be the end of his career.  But Democrats aren't so quick to throw each other over board as the GOP is, so unless Hillbilly can make a big ol' pile o hay outta this, it'll probably be old news by next week.

But I can't believe even the dems will support a guy who holds so much of America in contempt.

Obama seems to be saying that the candidate that can get the "Stupid" vote will win.

Good news, Barry; you've got the "stupid" vote nailed down.  You surely do.

I'd be crying if I weren't laughing so hard.
