Giving the Presidential Medal of Freedom to a nonentity like Donna Shalala is indicative of why George W. Bush's approval ratings are so low.

This guy gets elected President of the United States of America and spends the next eight years desperately kissing  the ass of the opposition.

Now, with only a few months left in office, he's finally said a few things he should have been saying six years ago, such as ethanol isn't working out like we thought it would; let's drop it, but to make up for sounding like a leader for a second there, he quickly retreats to his comfortable space as a toady to the dems and gives Shalala the American equivalent of a knighthood.  Or Dame hood.  Whatever.  We're Americans, we don't do titles.

Hey George!  Give it up.

They are never going to like you.

They are never going to stop calling you names.

They are never, ever going to let you sit at the cool kids table.

I am sick to death of Republicans who piss on us conservatives while pathetically trying to curry the favor of liberal Democrats.

DO YOU HEAR ME, JOHN McCAIN??

sigh.

I didn't think so.
