A few days ago, my adult daughter and her two visiting friends had dinner here with us.  We all had a lovely time and ate the pasta dish that Zack invented.  As they were leaving, I heard one of the girls ask Katie "Who's JP Hubbell?"

She had seen the photo on the fridge.

That's a year now that every single female (and more than one of the guys) who walks past my refrigerator has seen and commented on JP's latest publicity photo.

It doesn't matter if she's a middle aged matron who went to school with Jay or a tween pal of Josie's here to work on homework, they all want to know about that picture.

Every.  Single.  One of them.

"That's my Mom's brother who's an actor." I heard Katie say.

They all ask the same follow up question, too.

"How old is he?"

"He'll be fifty on his next birthday."

The reaction to the answer is always the same, too.

"WHAT? NO WAY!!  I WOULD TOTALLY TRY TO TALK TO HIM IN A BAR!"

Okay, Josie's friends never throw in the bit about picking him up in a bar, but the over all reaction is always the same.

The third question is one that only about half the ladies ask.  That would be "Why isn't he a movie star yet?"

"Because Hollywood is stupid" is the only answer I can think of.

Hollywood is stupid.
