Hubbellpalooza and Pivecfest have coincided this year, which is why I haven't posted anything in a week. It's also why I feel rather like I've been run over by a truck.
Frank Day was last Sunday and as well as the Franks, JP and Bill are in town and JP brought a girl. He's never done that before, although once, about four years ago, a chick followed him home. Not the same.
We all like Royana a lot and not just because she supplies...the fun.
She's outgoing and funny and adept in the use of sarcasm which is important to survive in this crowd. JP is very obviously crazy about her, which is fun to see. He spent the last 24 years studiously avoiding the sort of female he'd ever want to introduce to the rest of us and then a year or so ago, he did a play with Roy and he never stood a chance. A ton of bricks looked at JP and said "Dude, you fell hard."
The Hubbell Open was this week and for the first time ever, the bucket was taken home by a non-family member.
Late nights, lots of food, lots of drinking and lots of loud laughter have been the order of the week.
I don't have time to supply any details right now but I hope to get some stuff down before I begin to forget. Katelyn, Tyler and BJ are the only family members missing and believe me, they are missed. Katelyn just started a new job in Chicago, very exciting! Tyler made everyone in the family ecstatic by landing a job just this week with Calloway Golf. Things are looking up all over the place. So we miss those three, but we have Annie and Roy as new additions.
Last night Jay and I were at a shower full of Pivec's and soon to be Pivecs. Julie and Molly are both in town and looking fabulous. Last night's party was for Lauren and Ben, who will be married this fall. Tomorrow there's a shower for Julie, who will be having a baby later in the fall. All in all, lots of fun.
I need a nap.
