Alternative Technology

I've been watching the Olympics and so I've seen more ads in the last two weeks than I've seen in the last two years. Many of these ads have been political (I'm not just talking about the campaign ads) and the dishonesty of them has really impressed me. Here's a quick list of phrases I've heard and what they actually mean.
1. "Alternative technology" means "Non existent".
2. "Organic waste" means "food crops".
3. "In the pocket of Big Oil" means "likes gas to be affordable".
4. "Fighting for the little guy" means "will tax the hell out of everyone with a job".
Except in the case of Al Franken, when "fighting for the little guy" means "working as a comedian on Saturday Night Live and failing as a radio personality, while simultaneously having no idea how much taxes he should pay or who he owes them to. Hey, it was an honest mistake". Oh, and fishing in Alaska is apparently unpatriotic. Yeah, I don't get that one, either.
5. "Climate change" means "Summer's here. Winter's coming. Run for your lives!".
6. "Climate crisis" means "I need to get elected".
7. "Fighting Big Pharmaceutical" means "will pander for votes" and "I, myself, have no allergies".
8. "Green" means "I am a self important asshole who just might be god". Why bother saving the planet? Just make a new one.
