Thursday morning dawned cool, gray and sticky.  It had rained buckets during the night and since we really need the moisture, I didn't mind.  Josie got up and immediately asked if it was too early to listen to Mama Mia!  We put the cd on and almost immediately I realized I couldn't wait for that to come out on dvd.

"Let's go see it again!" I said.  "I'll call Gramma and see if she wants to come, too."

So we three dropped our plans for the day and went to an early matinee.  The theater was nearly empty so we laughed, shrieked and sang through the whole thing.  The day had cleared up to beautiful by the  time we came out of the theater, but we enjoyed the movie so much we didn't even mind missing an hour of gorgeous weather.

Since Mom had invited everyone over for home made pizza that night, Josie and I went over and helped chop toppings and bake the pizzas so everything would be ready by dinner time.  Kathy, Mike, Andy, Vi and their kids, most of the McCollows, MJ, Annie and as many Pivecs as weren't working all showed up.  The pizzas were fabulous.

Yesterday, I was laying around waiting for Jay to cook me some dinner when Andy called.  Vi had gone off to the fair with her sisters so he had the kids.  He had just picked up some pizza for their dinner and thought to himself "You know what would go really well with this pizza?  Mary's deck."  So he called to invite his family over.  I laughed and told him to come on over.

The kids ate pizza and played soccer in the back yard.  Gus beat Hattie and Josie.  It was very exciting.  Jay was going to take Johnny for a ride in the convertible but Johnnie decided that it should happen sometime "later".  Charlie fell in love with the dirt filled boxes in the secret garden.  Theres' really no trouble he can get in back there.  And come on! Big boxes of dirt!  Can life get any better for a toddler?

Andy had an early tee time so they only stayed til it got dark.  Then we tossed our steaks on the grill and Mr. Curry came over with a bottle of wine to watch the Twins with Jay.  Josie and I finished our steak and then settled in for several episodes of season 2 of Heroes.

I'd been warned by many people that the second season wasn't any good, but I disagree.  I'm thoroughly enjoying it.  Of course, all tv shows are better on dvd.

Today is Fair day.  Vi gave us three entrance passes!!  She had extras.  Vi loves the fair and would go all day everyday if she could.  Zack feels the same.  He told her that if she wanted to go again on Monday, he'd go with her.

It's another hot, sunny day.

I can't believe it's almost time for school to start up again.

I also can't believe I have only one more week to get everything painted for the fall show.  I gotta get to work.

Then,
