I've been accused of only listening or reading people who think like me, but it's not true.  At least once a week, I gird my loins and venture out to see what the other side thinks, writes and says.  Besides which, I live in Minneapolis and can't have a simple conversation with anyone in my neighborhood without hearing what the other side thinks.  They've got it splashed all over their bumpers, too.

So, every few days, I put on my mental hazmat suit and go diving.  Why the hazmat suit?  Have you read any of these people?  Not just the www.Huffingtonpost.com or the www.Dailykos.com, but the comment threads at places like www.Townhall.com or www.shotinthedark.info?  It's scary.

Anyway, this morning I was at both www.powerlineblog.com and www.disgrasian.blogspot.com.  Their differing takes on the RNC convention is illuminating.

I prefer the company of conservatives because they are rational, logical people capable of following a thought without being distracted by bells, whistles and pretty colors.
