I've been watching the Discovery Channel's series on Planet Earth.  I've only seen about half of the episodes but so far it's been every bit as good as it's been hyped to be.  The photography is stunning and my hat is off to the camera crews and everyone involved in this remarkable endeavor.

My over all impression has been that this planet we live on is so diverse and beautiful and awe inspiring and ew.  Ew.  EEEEEEEEEEwwwww! what the hell is that thing???!!!!!  Ickyickyickyicky!!!  Not only will I never go swimming again, you can ask me to eat my own eyeballs before I will ever go into a cave!

I had no idea the world was full of so many freakish, weird, YUCKY  things and it turns out they're everywhere!!

I may have to spend the rest of my life standing in my bathtub.
