Josie was assigned to write a poem about her future.  Here it is.

When I Die, I Hope No One Remembers This Poem

by Josie

My future is important, especially to me,
I'm not sure what to do, I'm hearing lots of voices.
Everyone is telling me what I should be
I guess they will all have to wait and see
That my future has to do with my choices.

I could be a vet and help all the pets.
Meow!  Woof!  Sweak! What a mighty migraine!
But one good thing would be that I would get
A lot of money and you can bet
That no more pets would have any pain.

Or I could be a superhero, wow!
I would always be the good guy.
Wap! Smack! Hit! Pow!
The villains would be yelling 'Ow'!
And I would end the day with a happy sigh.

No matter what, helping animals or fighting crime,
I hope I will get good pay.
And I will be useful of my time
And make sure all my poems will rhyme,
So in Language Arts I can get an 'A'.
