Last November, we in the great state of Minnesota had the option of voting for a constitutional amendment directing a new sales tax to be implemented and used to clean the environment.  There were ads being run on tv and radio in which people claiming to be environmental scientists were on the verge of tears, telling us that it was crucial that we change our constitution NOW or the environment of our gorgeous state was in jeopardy of dying.

DYING, I TELL YOU!!

Being the biggest suckers in the country, we voted "yes" to saving our state's imperiled lakes, of which we have well over ten thousand, all apparently in danger of becoming sewage dumps.

It's three months later.

We're using the money to build seven dog parks.

Seven dog parks, which you'll have to pay a $25.00 fee to use.

I'm so relived that the lakes aren't on life support anymore.

Is there anyone out there who still thinks you can trust the legislature?

Minnesota; proof that blondes really are that stupid.
