MCTC Mavericks dismantled another team today in the first round of the national tournament in Delhi, New York.

There's a link at the Mavericks Home page to a live webcast, so I was able to follow the game from here.  I didn't sit and stare at my computer or anything, I just referred to it every five minutes or so.  There is also a play by play which is really interesting.  Keeping in mind what Zack said the other day about this team's ability to slowly take the other team apart, I looked at the score column.  In the first few minutes of the game it was close.  We drew first blood then the other team scored and the score see-sawed until the other team was up 14-10.  That was the biggest and the last lead the Community College of Allegheny County would have.

Slowly, methodically, inevitably, like the shark chomping on the Orca as Robert Shaw frantically tried not to slide into it's gaping maw, we swallowed them whole.

I actually had to leave to pick up Josie from school when the game got down to the last 2:30 minutes.  We were up by fifteen so I wasn't too worried, but it's March and anything can happen.  When Josie and I got home, we ran into the house, charged to the computer and whooped!

Final score; Allegheny 58, MCTC 73.

Madness, baby.  Madness.
