A Recruiting Moment

My brother, Capt. Joe USNR's number showed up on my caller ID this morning.  I picked up the phone.

"Three shots, three dead pirates.  How sweet is that?" is what he said instead of 'hello'.  "Do you know how many jealous SEALS are out there today?  Nobody knows how many but the answer is 'all of them'.  That's what those guys live for."

Joe had been flying on Sunday so we didn't get to see him on Easter.

"Hootie (his fifteen year old son) told me the pirates have captured four more ships and vowed to take revenge on the SEALS.  I don't think the pirates have any idea what a bad idea that is.  I'm sure SEALS all over the world are thinking 'this is going to be fun'.  How do they think a face off between a bunch of ragtag pirates and the US Navy is going to go?  I don't know how this is going to affect the creation of new pirates but I can tell you; it did wonders for the recruitment of Navy SEALS."

"Zack and I were talking about that." I answered.  "I said 'three shots/three pirates; that's good shooting' and Zack replied 'every kid who ever played a video game thinks he can do that.'"

"Yeah, but those kids playing video games don't know how the SEALS got into position to take those shots.  They had to be airdropped nearby, swim to the ship and climb on board.  There was some talk of them swimming to the pirate's boat and killing them there.  The sharp shooting itself was only one piece of the plan."

Do you hear that, gamers?  You still have to get out of the basement and do some exercise.
