Last Saturday night, the NJCAA Div III all star team, lead by coach of the year Jay Pivec, beat the NJCAA Div II all stars by a score of 122-108.  The game took place at Odessa Community College in Odessa Texas.  Four of the players on the winning team were from our conference, including two of our own players, Cortez Wallace and Cameron Hodges.  Cameron had twenty five points and was named All Star game MVP.

The guys got back home Sunday afternoon, having had an absolute blast in Texas.  It was a great way to wind up a fantastic season.

Coach of the year Pivec came home to discover that the washer, dryer and thermostat were all on the fritz.  The washer, which hasn't been spinning out properly for a while, was now completely dead.  The dryer still spins perfectly but doesn't get hot, and the furnace, which still gets plenty hot, can't be regulated.  It was 78 degrees in here.  (I got up to try and turn on the heat the other night and knocked the digital thermostat off the wall, breaking it.  Oops.)

Jay fixed it.

I knew he would.

This morning a service plus technician fixed the dryer and pronounced the washer dead.  We have a new one being delivered on Wednesday.

I have a feeling that a year from now, none of these little matters will be so easily fixed.
