Zack watched the MTV awards last night. He came upstairs shortly after they began.
"It's official," he said "Kanye West is the biggest a-hole in America." Then he told me what happened.
Taylor Swift won the award for best female video and as she started her speech, Mr. West took the mic from her and said that Beyonce's video was better.
Can you imagine if the presenter at the Academy Awards had taken the microphone from Ken Howard and said "The Fellowship of the Ring was the best movie EVER!" while Howard was trying to thank the academy for honoring A Beautiful Mind? Sure, he would've been right but that's not the time or place.
You know, Kanye, nobody cared too much when you accused George Bush of hating black people. He's a politician and they are always fair game. BUT THIS IS THE MTV AWARDS!
Taylor Swift is a little girl (19 years old) who hasn't won one of those yet and Kanye crapped all over her moment.
Later on in the evening Zack came back upstairs. He told me that Beyonce had won the best video of the year award and used her time to let Taylor come up and give the speech she tried to give earlier.
Beyonce is as classy as she is talented.
