The Eagle Has Landed and Apparently Moved In

Coming around Lake Harriet at 8:10 this morning, the sun was gleaming on the water. The air had that crystal clear glitter it only has in cold weather and the lake was so glassy I suspect there was a film of ice across it. The fishing dock had been set free to float a week or two ago and it sat about twenty yards off shore, looking like a weird little island. Perched on the rail, king of all he surveyed, was another bald eagle, head glowing in the morning sunshine.
That's the third eagle I've seen in a week. Or the third time I've seen this one. He seems to like it here.
