I had been counting the days til  Star Trek came out on dvd.  It was one of my two favorite movies of the summer and the other one, 17 Again, came out weeks ago.  I've already watched it at home three times.  "You can plunder my dungeon anytime" is one of my favorite quotes.

Yesterday was the day.  Left to myself, I'd have gotten it first thing in the morning and watched it after lunch but Josie needed to go shopping after school so I got it then.  I used it to force her to do her homework.  For the first time, she decided she didn't feel like doing it.  Good thing I had a big club (the USS Enterprise, to be exact) to beat her with.

We popped it in at 6:30.  It was just as good as I remembered it. 

Josie can't decide who she likes better, Spock or Kirk.

We watched the gag reel and there's a scene in which Spock and Kirk do an entire scene from the movie in Scottie's accent.  When it was over, Josie exclaimed "I love that guy!  I want to marry him!"

"Which one?"  I asked.

"Both!" said my greedy, greedy daughter.

Tonight, just to make her brain explode, I'm going to ask her who would win; Captain Kirk or Captain Reynolds?


Oh, I think my own brain is exploding.
