Despite having already eaten two (yes, two) chocolate bunnies, I can't really get used to the idea that Lent is over.  Maybe that's a good thing.  With all the stuff looming on my horizon, maybe not pigging out every day is a good idea.

I ran yesterday for the first time since October.   I took the winter off for two reasons; every time I run when there's snow and ice, I injure myself and my hip was giving me trouble.

Wow, there's a reminder that you're getting old; hip trouble.

I'm going to be 50 in like,  a week.  So strange to think of.  I don't feel that old.  In all probability, I'm more than half done.  yet it all seems like it's blipped by in an instant.  In the space of One Breath, as Captain Bill Scully said.

I still feel like I should be about 27.  But my hip tells me otherwise.

We had some cooler weather this week.  It hit the eighties a week or so ago but has been more seasonable since then.  The ice is off the lakes which is early but it's been a beautiful spring so far.  Two days of drizzle has brought the grass back to green and everything smells wonderful.  Today the wind died down so MJ and I walked around the lake with the babies.  it felt wonderful.

Oh, as to that run yesterday; I didn't go very far.  After two blocks my legs said "Are you kidding us?"  Two more blocks they went "No.  Just, no."  So I went about 3/4 of a mile and called it a day.

Gotta start slow at my age.
