Josie played in her first golf match yesterday.

She was super nervous.

Since she's on the JV squad, there was no bus.  I picked her up after school and we drove out to the par three course.  We were the first members of her team to arrive and as the minutes ticked by, she got more nad more nervous.  As soon as her team mates arrived, she calmed down considerably. 

It was a gorgeous afternoon; temps in the mid 70's and a blue sky but windy.

She got home three hours later and said she'd had a pretty good time.

"I never made par," she said sadly.  This made her Dad laugh.  I told her most golfers never made par.  I think she's learning with each stroke that golf is A REALLY HARD GAME.

"I did have two fours, though."  We tried to impress upon her how good that was in her very first outing.

I need to get her some sun screen for her golf bag, a glove and some cute golf clothes.

She'll probably really like golf when she discovers how good she can look playing it.
